CENTURY 21 Northland Welcomes TJ Taylor

TJ Taylor is a native Michigan resident originally from the southwest corner of the state. His interest in this profession began as a young child following and assisting his father with his real estate endeavors. He spent his teenage years living in Jackson, Michigan, where he played sports and earned his Eagle Scout Badge. During high school he invested in his first dilapidated piece of real estate and began learning more of the mechanical aspects.

After high school, TJ explored Michigan’s U.P. & attended Northern Michigan University. He earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Degree in hand, TJ relocated to central Indiana to become an exemplary corrections officer for the Indiana Department of Corrections. TJ received awards for his leadership and accolades for acts of bravery. As an officer, his primary roles included Restricted Housing Unit Property Manager, Transportation Officer, Weapons Specialist and he was trained to be a Disciplinary Hearing Officer, functioning essentially as a judge within the facility where nearly 3,200 high to super-max security level inmates call home.

After departing Indiana TJ took a road trip that lasted several months until he became homesick and returned to Michigan deciding to permanently relocate to the beautiful Traverse City area. Jana, his wife, and their three children call Kalkaska home and where Jana is a public educator. Together their family enjoys time with their church, in the great outdoors, at home for a family game night, or planning their next adventure!

TJ attributes his experience in real estate to his long term market analysis, personal successes in unique real estate endeavors, hard work, dedication and continued education. TJ is excited to assist his community with any real estate matters and is looking forward to being a REALTOR® you can depend on. TJ can be reached at 231-715-6441 or TJ.Taylor@C21Northland.com.
